It's Halloween 1997 - the last night of high school for Corey, Jango and
their skater gang, The Gromits. Childhood is over and adult life
beckons. But for Corey, his past has some unfinished business.

When he
encounters Jonah, a former childhood friend (and school's gay outsider) but now victimized by
Jango's cruel streak, Corey takes pity on him and agrees to walk him
home for old time's sake.

What starts off as a normal walk through empty
suburban streets descends into something darker and magical as they
tell each other ghost stories, drawing upon their fears of the world
around them. As they walk through their memories and ghosts of the past,
Corey is surprised to discover how much he still has in common with his
abandoned friend. But on the night of the grave's delight, even the
most buried truths will find a way of coming to life.

This is one of the best Australian films I've seen.

This is a horror film but more of like coming-of-age drama.
Just expect some chilly moments and that's the kind of horror that I dig.
This is not a screamfest.....instead expect a stunning poetry and a visual feast.

The night time cinematography is amazing.
The director is so promising. He's the one to watch in the future. Great talent there.

Oh my God I love the soundtrack! If you're into alternative rock songs from the 90s, you'll get chills from the haunting songs. So cool!

Amazing acting from these young Aussies. The director is so lucky to have them.

THIS IS A MUST WATCH.

Απόκριες του 1997 - το τελευταίο βράδυ του γυμνασίου για τον Corey, τον Jango και τη συμμορία τους, τους Gromits. Η παιδική ηλικία τελειώνει αλλά ο Corey έχει ανοιχτούς λογαριασμούς με το παρελθόν. Όταν συναντά τον Jonah, έναν παλιό φίλο από την παιδική του ηλικία που τώρα είναι θύμα σκληρής παρενόχλησης από τη συμμορία του, ο Corey τον λυπάται και για χάρη της παλιάς φιλίας συμφωνεί να τον συνοδεύσει μέχρι το σπίτι του. Αυτό που ξεκινάει ως φυσιολογική βόλτα στους άδειους προαστιακούς δρόμους καταλήγει σε κάτι σκοτεινότερο και μαγικό, καθώς λένε ο ένας στον άλλο ιστορίες φαντασμάτων, αντλώντας τους φόβους τους από τον κόσμο γύρω τους. Καθώς περπατούν μέσα από τις αναμνήσεις τους και τα φαντάσματα του παρελθόντος, ο Corey εκπλήσσεται καθώς ανακαλύπτει πόσα κοινά έχει ακόμα με το φίλο που εγκατέλειψε. Όμως τη νύχτα που οι εφιάλτες ζωντανεύουν, ακόμη και οι πιο θαμμένες αλήθειες θα βρουν έναν τρόπο να επιστρέψουν στη ζωή.
